4mm or 6mm?
4mm suits wardrobe doors and most wall mirrors. For gym walls and anything over about 1.5m tall, choose 6mm: it is flatter, so the reflection does not wobble. 6mm mirror weighs about 15kg per m², so a 1000 × 2000mm piece is around 30kg.
Safety backing or toughened mirror?
A toughened mirror is about four times stronger and breaks into small blunt pieces, but it costs more and the pieces can still fall. A safety backed mirror stays in one piece when it breaks. For most homes backing is the simpler, cheaper choice. Toughenable mirror is on the mirrors page.

We cut, polish, back and deliver the mirror but do not install. A glazier or handyman usually fixes it with a mirror channel at the bottom, clips at the top and neutral-cure mirror adhesive.
