About this glass
Grey tinted float glass is coloured right through, so it cuts glare and heat from the sun and makes a room harder to see into from outside in daylight. 12mm is used for large table tops, frameless balustrade-style panels and anywhere the glass must feel solid.
Tap Toughened if it needs to be safety glass. Toughened glass is about four to five times stronger than ordinary glass and breaks into small blunt pieces, which is why it is required in doors, showers and low windows. It cannot be cut or drilled afterwards, so check your sizes before ordering.

Does tinted glass give privacy at night?
Not on its own. At night, with lights on inside, people can see in. For full-time privacy choose frosted or patterned glass.
