5mm Low-E Clear Glass

Low-E (low emissivity) glass has a thin metallic coating that reflects heat. It keeps a room warmer in winter and cooler in summer than ordinary clear glass, with almost no change in how the glass looks.

5mm is a step up in stiffness from 4mm for medium window panes, cabinet doors and panels that are fully framed. Tap Toughened if it needs to be safety glass. Toughened glass is about four to five times stronger than ordinary glass and breaks into small blunt pieces, which is why it is required in doors, showers and low windows. It cannot be cut or drilled afterwards, so check your sizes before ordering.
