6mm Painted Glass Splashback

Low iron toughened glass, back painted in any Dulux colour.

100–3000 × 1200mm

Supplied toughened

Power points: after you order we email you to confirm the position and size of each cut-out before the glass is made. Holes cannot be added once the glass is toughened.

Safety corners: Each of the four corners is tipped: the sharp point is cut off and polished, so a corner is less likely to catch skin or clothing, or chip when it is knocked. $16 for all four corners. Rounded corners are priced per corner and replace safety corners.

Painting: any Dulux colour, sprayed on the back of low iron glass. Painting is charged on at least 1 m² per panel. Metallic colours cost more. Colours can look slightly different on glass than on a paint chip.

About this glass

A painted glass splashback is 6mm low iron glass with the colour sprayed on the back, then toughened. The paint is behind the glass, so the face you wipe is smooth glass with no grout lines, and the colour stays bright for years.

Low iron glass is used because ordinary clear glass adds a green tint to the colour. Type the Dulux colour name below. Metallic finishes cost a little more. Painting is charged on at least 1 m² per panel.

Add power point cut-outs if you need them. We email you after you order to confirm where each one goes before the glass is made.

Questions

What colours can I choose?

Any colour in the Dulux range. Type the colour name (for example Dulux Natural White or Dulux Domino) when you order. Standard and metallic finishes are available. Colours on screen and paint chips can look slightly different on glass, so if the exact shade matters, ask us about a sample before you order.

Why low iron glass for a painted splashback?

Ordinary clear glass has a green tint that shows through the paint, so whites look minty and pale colours shift. Low iron glass has most of the iron removed, so the colour you pick is the colour you see. All our painted splashbacks use low iron glass.

Is the glass toughened?

Yes, every splashback is 6mm toughened safety glass. Glass near a cooktop must be toughened, and toughened glass handles the heat and knocks of a kitchen far better than ordinary glass.

Can you cut holes for power points?

Yes. Choose how many power point cut-outs you need on the product page. After you order we email you to confirm the exact position of each one before the glass is made. Holes cannot be added after toughening.

How do I measure for a splashback?

Measure the width and height of the wall area in millimetres at a few points and use the smallest. Take about 3mm off each side that meets a wall, cabinet or benchtop so the glass fits with a silicone gap. For more than one panel, measure each panel separately.

Do you install splashbacks?

No, we make and deliver the glass. Most glaziers, kitchen fitters and handy home owners can fix a glass splashback with a neutral cure silicone made for glass.
