Patterned glass
5mm Cathedral Patterned Glass
A classic hammered texture, often found in older homes.
About this glass
Cathedral glass has a soft, hammered texture that was used widely in Australian homes from the 1950s to the 1980s. It is the glass to match when one pane in an older door or window breaks.
Tap Toughened if it needs to be safety glass. Toughened glass is about four to five times stronger than ordinary glass and breaks into small blunt pieces, which is why it is required in doors, showers and low windows. It cannot be cut or drilled afterwards, so check your sizes before ordering.

Questions
Which pattern gives the most privacy?
Satinlite and Kosi obscure the most. Spotswood gives good privacy with more sparkle, and Cathedral is the lightest pattern.
Can you match glass in an old door?
Often, yes. Cathedral and Spotswood are the patterns most older Sydney homes have. Send us a photo if you are not sure.
